Useful Formula

Introduction

Practically everywhere nowadays, production entails absorbing, covering, cleaning, dividing, decorating, enclosing, filtering, guarding, protecting, separating, sorting, screening, ventilating, which are among the numerous functions efficiently fulfilled by perforated materials, of which the shape and size of holes, hole patterns, sheet thickness and material, can be adapted to any requirement.

Due to its attractive appearance and versatility in form and function the variety of perforated material applications is huge and its potential enormous. Perforated plate is used in almost all metal working sectors. Product components include machines, vehicles, apparatus, electro- and radio industry, pollution control, aircraft, ships and boats, appliances, agricultural equipment, mining, quarries, petro-chemical processing, dryers, lighting fixtures, shelving, furniture, food processing, papermaking, architecture, arts and craft, to name a few examples.

Basic applications are stairways, walls, ceilings, floors, grilles. Further examples include applications for sound attenuation, microwave radiation containment, filtration and purification of air, water and gases.

In principle, any surface or body can be provided with holes through perforating or drilling, depending on the application. Nearly all materials can be perforated, the most popular being mild steel, galvanized steel, stainless steels and aluminium.

Based on experience and know-how, perforated materials are manufactured by specialized companies from coil or sheet, on modern, electrically controlled sectional and all across presses with various working widths, which can punch hole patterns with extreme accuracy.

Considering the numerous requirements regarding shape, hole size and pitch, EUROPERF perforating companies have the right machinery and equipment and keep a great variety of tools to satisfy customers' needs, which would simply not be possible for a factory not specialized in perforating.

Perforated metal plates can be further processed by subsequent fabricating and finshing operations, which many EUROPERF members are able to offer, including: bending, blanking, degreasing, forming, levelling, painting, powder coating, polishing, rolling and shearing.
